This lecture will address several periodontal hard and soft tissue procedures used to address common hard and soft tissue defects around natural teeth include gingival augmentation, frenectomy, and crown lengthening. The format will be lecture and case presentations.
Learning Objectives:
Show and define periodontal conditions affecting natural teeth including mucogingival deformities such as recession, inadequate keratinized gingiva, aberrant frenum.
Demonstrate concepts and indications for clinical crown lengthening such as inadequate restorative ferule and invasion of biologic width through clinical case presentations.
Illustrate via case examples and literature indications and principles of corrective functional and esthetic gingival augmentation techniques and frenectomy procedures.
