Dr. Ivy F. Lin is an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Surgery at University of Washington School of Dentistry. She grew up in Montreal, Canada where she obtained her DMD with distinction from McGill University in 2017. Through the completion of a General Practice Residency at UW, she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and settled down in Seattle. In 2022, she obtained a Master of Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she focused her studies on climate change mitigation and health policy. Since then, she has been working on promoting sustainability in dentistry through lectures and through the creation of the sustainability in dentistry committee at UW. In addition to teaching at UW, she is also very involved in providing care to the underserved populations by volunteering as an attending at student outreach events and working as a general dentist at various community clinics in and around Seattle.
